I know what you are thinking. Writing about sunglasses in December? Well here's hoping for some sunshine and snow sports and if all else fails there are the clear lenses which are great for winter riding.
Anyways, a while back I hooked myself up with a custom pair of Oakley Jawbone glasses and they have been wicked. If you haven't checked out Oakley's custom program it is really worth a look. Even if you aren't planning to buy a pair it is pretty fun to play around with the custom builder on the Oakley website.
So after much deliberation here is what I ordered.

I went for the black jaws so that I would look big and tough like a football player or something.
And here is what I got. (stunned look and giant nose not included)

Yes Oakley's cost a bit of money but the fit and function is awesome and the quality is really worth it in my opinion. The lenses couldn't be any easier to change and the included hard case is a nice touch.
So just how many different jawbone options do you have to choose from? Well there are 17 different frame colours, 18 different jaw colours etc. Just for fun (yes this is what I do for fun) I figured out the total number of possible glasses. And there are about 135 million different jawbone options. So you could spend about $4 billion on custom jawbones and never get the same pair.
Obviously some of the combinations are hideous and should never see the light of day. So also just for fun (you get the picture) I tried to come up with the ugliest pair I could. And here was my best effort.

Although who knows. Maybe that is the pair of shades that you have been dreaming of.
